stuffed bell peppers

2.25  pounds lean ground beef
2 cups cooked rice
chopped onions
6 bell peppers
2 cans tomato sauce/ tomato soup/ spaghetti sauce
shredded cheese

this recipe is very flexible as you can really add whatever you like.  cut the tops off the peppers.  Chop the tops and mix with the ground beef, rice, chopped onions and some of the tomato sauce.    Stuff this into the peppers and  pour the rest of the tomato sauce over the top.   bake at 350 for about an hour.  top with cheese the last 10 minutes.

Sausage instead of beef
salsa instead of tomato sauce
different veggies
different cheeses
